Following are some cool pics of the outboard main engine pylons mounted on the M1400 power car. Note the three Thielert main drive engines (covered in plastic) where corresponding 11-foot props are to be mounted.

God I wish I was there. I’m very good with the nuts & bolts parts of things !
Keep up the good work. Looks like you’ll beat LEMV in to the sky.

“Looks like you’ll beat LEMV in to the sky.”
I’ll be damned. It does seem that way. I thought the LEMV would be first for sure. After all, it did have a headstart and was supposed to fly, what, seven months ago? I haven’t seen hide nor tail from that program since they announced that they had it inflated and were working on the gondola and the systems integration. Still, no news being good news, I suppose it’s leagues better than that complete and utter train wreck the Joint Strike Fighter is. I’m sure that the good people at Mav6 have more than a few words to say about THAT particular failure of the conventional military-industrial complex.
Well. Northrop Grumman’s apparent failure to get it’s LEMV affairs in order on schedule should not be be looked down upon by anyone that’s ever put together an ambitious project. Delays are almost inescapable. No one on this project has any right to criticize, either. The M1400 was supposed to be airborne in October. Well, I say, if you’re gonna do it, you gotta do it right, schedule be damned. Besides, they’re more like guidelines than actual rules.
Anyway, terrific job you’re doing here. Keep these pictures flowing, they’re awesome. I hope both you and Northrop Grumman/HAV kick terrorist ass and take names. But I still root extra hard for the underdog(underblimp?). Good luck!
