Before the airship flight control system can be installed on the M1400 airship, it will undergo extensive testing in the M1400 HILSim environment. The HILSim replicates all of the flight control system inputs and outputs to validate end-to-end system performance. The following picture shows what a typical simplex UAV HILSim looks like relative to the M1400 HILSim. This comparison should give you an idea of the complexity and scale of the M1400 flight control system.
